What makes a motor starter to crack? pics

took the starter cause it was making these really laud noise almost like i was over turning the key n saw the cracks i tested the starter n it tested good im really curious that why it crack...Silicone you can c on 1 of the pics was there thinking previous owner silicone it...IMG_1031.jpgIMG_1035.jpgIMG_1036.jpgIMG_1038.jpg

Metal fatigue.. or one of the bearings failed and broke the casing

it broke near the lever pin for the solinoid to the bendix so it looks like cheap cast with a flaw in it.

That's what I wanna to hear my other thought was the motor mount moved or their were broke

i check the flywheel n 3 of the teeth are some what flat how serious is that?

If your teeth are jumping the sudden catch can put enough force to crack the starter housing.
Can you hear it jumping?
There are 3 contact points for securing the starter.Two at the head and one on the other end.
If these aren't tight it can flex and crack.

I couldn't hear the teeth jumping but there was only 2 bult out of 3. the noise it made when I try turning the key it was like turning the key on a car and not letting go of the key after the car started.
