Is there a resource you can put prop info into to determine all motors/drives it will fit? I have a prop for sale and would like to include all the motors it will work on in the ad.<br />Thanks for any help you might be able supply.
Hey thanks Walleye. The P/N is 48-74268A4-21. It's a 14x21, 15 spline SS prop off a 150hp Mariner, but I know it will fit a number of different motors.

That'll help.<br /><br />Just out of curiosity, as will become clearly evident by my next question, I know nothing about prop shafts...are all 15 spline shafts the same, or do they come in different diameters and lengths as well? I never see any mention of either of those measurements in prop ads, but the answers here make me think they must.
The Merc. shafts Are the Same.........Atleast for the motors,+ drives stated.....<br /><br />The OMC shafts have the Splines cut to a Different Length.......<br /><br />Soooo,..... You can run an OMC prop on a Merc.,.... But you Can't run a Merc. prop on an OMC.......<br />It Won't slide On far enough.....
Unless you shorten the splines in the Merc hub. Very common. It'll then fit E/J outboards and Cobra drives too but not Volvo or the Volvo / OMC joint venture drives. <br /><br />And it'll fit Yamaha without cutting the splines. You may have to play with the spacers and washers.
