I just want to be sure I'm thinking right here, especially since there is soooo little info on these things. Least I haven't found any yet.
It's a Quick Silver Variable Pitch Prop.
It looks to me like my next step is to remove the "sleeve" in the center that appears to also be the retaining nut.
I'm noodling out how to build a socket to get into the pinhole.
Hmmmm.......
Anybody messed with one of these?

Ayuh,... I've got a bunch of L&S Torque-shift props, but have never messed with the Merc version...

Why are you tryin' to take it apart,..??

Na, well sorta.
I understand removing the prop to inspect and lube the shaft is part of annual maintenance.
The old ni?a is 24, and who knows if it's ever been done.
Working the deck, stringers, engine (low compression) and .............
I know, it ain't worth it, but I love the lines of the Pachanga's and Nova's and many other older boats.
