what other options do i have for trim pump?

on my 1977 glastron 165 pre alpha trim/tilt took a crap. it now has motor with metal resevoir and two bolts attaching it to i think the side of gimbal assembly and has two hyd hoses attached to the bottom. can i use an alpha 1 with plastic resivior and mount to deck as long as it has two ports? thanks ken

Ayuh,.... The short answer is Yes,..... but with Problems...

You'll have to adapt the lines to each other,... They're not the same sizes/ styles of hyd. connections...
I think you'll have to start your swapping from the transom manifold at the bottom of the transom, replacing the Return line to the Pump...
Take out what's there,+ replace with newer, matching the pump...
The Upside might need a fitting change, or possibly Not..... Don't remember...
