What other projects do you have right now?

Over in Smoke's restoration thread we got talking Jeeps and Bobcats. A couple of years ago I had a jeep that I completely customized. The only thing left stock was the short block of the engine. Ford 9" rear, NV4500 tranny, fuel injection upgrade, lockers, 4:1 transfer case gears, spring over conversion with 4" lift springs, etc, etc.

Right now I am working on installing a 6 foot tall vinyl privacy fence in my backyard and installing a steel wall inground pool. The pool will have a wood and brick deck.

I never seem to have enough to do so I create these projects of things I want to do around the house or elsewhere. The boat got an intake manifold and cam a couple of months ago and I wrecked my drive a couple of days ago from lack of lube. Dumb. So add that to the project list. My saltwater fish tank takes plenty of time from me and I am also going to school online to get my Bachelors Degree in Business Management.

So I was just wondering what everyone else does to keep yourselves busy?

My main project now since I finished my boat last season is cleaning out my shop . I am painting the floor,building shelfs and making room to bring my 64 fairlane back in so I can finish it up this summer. My goal is to use it to pull my boat which is a 1960. My boat will be correct for the car and visa versa.

Finish the basement "Pub" and more importantly buy a new dishwasher and install it tomorrow. Current one expired as soon as we got back from Jamaica. I just got back from a business trip about an hour ago so I know what the weekend holds for me. Fire up the motorised yard equipment as well "Just in case"

"What other projects do you have right now?" Boy that is the million dollar question for me. Ok where to start...and I will try to post some pics of these in some different threads.
1) Putting in a basement bathroom and adjoining bedroom....slowly working that into an inlaws suite for my umpteen inlaws from around the world that constantly want to come here. (it's going well...pics to follow at some point)
2) New entrance door to the house with two traditional wood frame sidelights (old house 30's...sort of Craftsman....should work out ok)
3) Extend the (hot tub) deck about another 5' to give us more entertaining space.
4) Open up the wall between the kitchen and the dining room to get more of an 'open' concept. (believe it or not this is going to start with finding a nice Jenn Air stove with the centre vent business....again, pics to follow)
5) Convert my '66 Chevy 1/2 ton to P.S/P.B and a 700R 4 speed automatic from the ol' three on the tree.
....there is more...of course....I'll always find more to fill the bucket.
However....one of the upcoming ones in the next week or two is....getting the boat fired up and ready for spring and get it up to the marina.

OK, so here's the deal. The wife says I have to finish the agreed upon house renovations before I can even start on a boat (still looking for the right project boat at the right price).

1 - Expand girls bedroom by taking out closet and moving it to the attic.

2 - Paint and redo floor in the dining room.

3 - Widen driveway and re-landscape front of house.

Maybe sometime in the next 15 years I can get to a boat.

I've had a list for as long as I can remember. My better half has a longer list (which, apparently is my list as well). I used to do OK getting through the list, but about a year ago I developed an affliction which virtually stopped any progress. I am now addicted to iboats forum and I get nothing done.
Sorry, I have to go now....and pick up my much faster computer.

Not finished with my current boat...and had a chance to grab this 1950 sumthin 14 ft Lonestar..100 bucks I couldnt pass her up..
So between the 2, I will be happily distracted from a ton of other non boat duties..lol

My wife and I do a tropical theme garden every year with a 250 gal fish pond . We are almost done planting , 21 bags of mulch to spread next weekend , pond is cleaned all the fish survived the winter . It is also just past breeding season for my pythons so the females need alot of food for the next 3 months and fresh water and a cleaned cage every day ... They get snappy when gravid (pregnant) so I will get bit a few times.

We had alot of trees come down at the weekend pad. Luckily, they all missed the boat (and the house), but I will be giving the chainsaw alot of work. Mostly locust trees so shouldn't be too bad but there are a lot of 'em.

Outside of raising four kids and maintaina fleet of 3 cars, 3 boats, a home and cabin, and a mini bike, I run a very large youth baseball tournament.

I start in November and work steadily until the tournament in June. We have over 160 teams spread across 8 sites and 32 fields over a single weekend.

I have a core staff of 4 assistant directors which on the weekend grows to just short of 40. No I don't get paid.

way too many when i should be out fishing!
finish the ol mans 1970 aristocraft 9teen....refoam and repower.
finish setting up new to me trailer for my boat and see what problems a new season brings.
sheetrock/paint kids room.
still have too put the sleds away.
tune-up to my blazer.
close in the garage and install a woodstove!
the list keeps going, and going, and going.............

this year? hoping to lift the Jeep and rims/tires
did the exhaust and intake on the Harley
Get the boat running properly
Build a firing range next to the barn for handguns
finish the rec room that used to be a bedroom
paint the extra bedroom that used to be son's room
carpet the living room and install base board
shelving in garage as well as tile the floor
planted three trees this weekend and 20 bags of mulch
one more tree to plant and 30 more bags of mulch to spread
begin to plan this winter's inside room project.
rebuild the chicken coop that got beat down in a winter storm



that should get me through the warm months. i need a vacation. LOL
