What pitch - '89 100hp Mercury

I don't have an owner's manual. Can anyone tell me if 19 is the standard prop pitch from the factory for a 1989 100hp oil injection Mercury 2x2?. I need to buy a new prop and would like to know what the factory recommends for best all around use.

First, you should ask this question on the prop questions forum.

When you do, much more info is needed. Boat brand, size, weight, what you do with it, what's on the boat now.

The prop is like a gear. What pitch depends on both the power available and the load to pull. A motor on a race boat might have a 27" prop on it. Same motor on a party barge pontoon might have a 14" prop.
