What prop do I use?

I was told that my boat may need a new prop. The 1987 Merc 175hp was put on a 20' starcraft Islander. Is there a way to tell what pitch I need with out putting it in the water?

i got 1985 13" bayliner with us marine / force 50 hp outboard and i want to change prop which want is the correct one?

boricua,You need to do your own post. Gets too confusing.
Read the stickys at the top of the page and get us as much info as possible.
Why are you changing props?
