What prop is best?

I have a 1976 Glastron 18 ft open bow tri hull. I have rebuilt a 1985 Mercury 150 outboard and need to get the right prop for the unit. With the 115 I used a 17 and 19 pitch prop. 17 for tubes and skiers and 19 for speed, they worked ok. I was told to start at about a 21 pitch, does this sound right? Thanks in advance.

A tach would be the recommended equipment to begin with.

Start with what prop you have and get us the prop size and the max rpm and speed.
We can probably figure what you need.
