I have a 17 ft hydrostream with a 175hp merc 1976 black max outboard on the back, the hull weighs about 600-700 lbs if that helps, does anyone know what type of prop i should use, what pitch? I would appreciate any advice or specs that would be helpful. I'm still not sure if i want a chopper prop or a regular prop. Information on both would be really helpful. Thanks.

Ok, if you're going for acceleration with a couple folks aboard, probably something in the 25" range. If you're going strictly for top end, light load, probably something in the 27" range.

A lot depends on which gearcase too.
