what range of tiller handles will fit my johnson?

1961 model # fd-15 johnson 18 hp I have been told that the 5.5, 7.5, 10, 15, and 18 hp handles from 1957 and newer will fit is this true? does not need to look correct at the moment just needs to be functional until I can find the right one at a good price.

Yea im pretty sure they are interchangable all the way out to 25 hp and what kind of prices have you been looking at? bc I have an extra hanging out in my garage that is in great shape.. spins easy and gloss white lol
