Well i need to buy a RPM tach to break my engine in just rebuilt it. So i see that there are different poles and all kinds of stuff. So which one do i need. I want to get out as cheap as possible but i still want the tach to work and be accurate. I dont need all the bells and whistles just a tach.

Any aftermarket tach (teleflex, faria, etc.) made for an outboard will work. Actually, they have ones that work with inboirds, I/Os and outboards. WOT on that motor should be less than 6000RPM, unless you plan to run over redline, so a 0-6K Tach will work fine.
