What sets bellhousing height?

I'm ready to bolt the Merc gen 2 bellhousing to my 5.7, then hoist it to the inner transom for connection and alignment.
The main engine mounts are 3/4" NF studs set in rubber, and obviously will be used for fine adjustment.
But what goes under the slotted bellhousing feet?

The slotted holes at the bottom of the bellhousing are for bolting the engine to a pallet for shipping.
Not used when in the boat.
