i have a 1984 evinrude 150hp. had it out about 2 months ago and it ran fine. took it out today and it won't reach full power. its idling fine and it just seems to not hit wot. anyway, i'm gonna clean the carbs in case the jets are clogged and while i was at it i checked the compression. all cylinders are at 95 except #1 which was 90. is this low for this engine or am i ok. any opinions would be appreciated. thanks.

95's okay butI'd bet if you did a decarb job on it the compression would come up. As far as the engine not coming up to speed, my guess is you're losing a cylinder. It could be fuel or ignition. The only thing to do is troubleshoot it and run the problem down.

c/6
Hooty
