What size Battery?

H,i Want to replace aging starter motor for 18 ' Starcraft Holiday with 140 hp Mercruiser I/O . What size is recommended ? Only will be used for starting
and some fish finder use and occasional running lights . Old one is Grp 24 or 27 with 1000 CCA . Thanks

If the battery that is being replaced worked fine in the past, then replace it with the same size. The size you have is adequate for that engine. More cranking amps is better than not enough. There is so little difference in price it makes no sense to cheap out on battery size.
