I have a 14' Fiberglass Crosby tri hull. Unfortunately the engine rating plate is gone. I have tried to find information on this boat to no avail. The boat has 20" sidewalls and 16" transom so I know that a 15" shaft will do, but am at a loss as to what the max engine size would be.....I was thinking 20-30...This boat is a 1968 model as well.

Thanks for any input or suggestions.

Kevin

You can get a "rough" idea by this formula. Beam at the transom multiplied by the overall hull length multiplied by 2, than subtract 90.
Mike
:)

Sounds like I have the same boat, the plate says 50 hp max, 4 persons @ 150 lbs, or 1100 lbs total weight. right now I have a 35 hp Chrysler, waiting to fix it up to see how she does.

Had a crosby it was 14 ft too. Not a trihull I believe that it was rated at 40 or 50 HP back in those days 50 hp was a pretty large OB
