What size fuse for my trolling motor??

Hey guys... great site!!<br /><br />I have a new MinnKota model 40AT/H (40lb thrust) trolling motor. I can't find any recommended fuse size or amp rating in the manual. I can't get to the MinnKota web site for some reason.<br /><br />Does anyone have any idea what size fuse or breaker this thing requires? <br /><br />Thanks!!!

Have you tried using Google and just put in <br />minnkota or minnkota trolling motor. My guess is fuse would be around 30 or 40 amps. Spike

Use a circuit breaker,should be in manual.

Jim 4202<br />Use a 40 or 50 amp circuit breaker, don't go under 40. A c/b is worth the trouble to put inline<br />on the positive lead, usual near the battery.<br />Backfire
