I just purchased a 1991 Smoker Craft boat , Magnum 161. It has a max. 90 H.P motor allowed. It has an under the floor gas tank that it was manufactured with. I cannot find any info on what size this tank is in gallons. Can anyone help me out? Thank you in advance!

If you can get a glimpse of the tank, it may have a label with the capacity on it . . .

Or do the math. L x W x H in inches. Divide by 231 and that equals gallons.

Thanks. That is probably it. There was not enough gas in the tank when I bought the boat to get the primer ball hard, and when we filled it up, it took 13.5 gallons, so it probably is the 14 gal tank. thanks again!

look it up yourself http://www.smokercraft.com/media/legacy-catalogs

or contact smoker craft and ask.

As stated in my question, I could not find anything about it when I was trying to "look it up myself" Also stated in my question, the boat is a 1991. The link you posted in your reply to me to "look it up myself" went back to 1995. I was under the assumption that this site was for the purpose of getting help from someone that may know the answers to our questions if we cannot find the answers anywhere else. Sorry if I bothered you, sir.

Thanks for the formula. I should have learned that in school (& I probably did, back when......) I really cannot get to the tank to measure it, so I cannot try your suggestion, although it is good for me to learn the formula.

I can probably get to see enough of it as the opening around the tank if I take the vent grill cover off. I will take a flashlight and look down there. I'm glad you replied and suggested this as I never even thought of checking that out, but I sure will. Thanks.
