What size oil pan does this look like?

Im starting to question if the builder was correct on the oil pan size I have... he says 8qt pan. What do you think?

10-12 quart. The large oil capacity pans are designed to cool oil on racing engines by being in the flow of air under a car. Useless on a marine engine. Most race engines for that matter too. Engines spinning above 4000 rpm for long periods of time can benefit. I prefer liquid immersed oil coolers for marine racing applications.

Nice looking engine though! What are the specs?

Looks like an 8-9qt to me. Sump isn't that deep.

Ayuh,... Sounds 'bout right,.... Easy enough to find out,....

Dump in 5 quarts, 'n check it,.....
If still low, keep addin', 'n checkin' til ya get it full,....
