what size prop

1996 force 75 hp at wot i'm running at at 5700 rpm and i think my range is between 4000 and 5000 rpm don't know what size prop i have know only numbers on prop are 48-73140-15 L any help would be good<br /><br /><br /> Thanks in advance <br /> Nelson

Your max range is 5500 rpm. Looks like you have a OEM 15" prop. Go to miwheel.com for their numbers. At comprop.com they recommend a 13" prop #M4323

If you are running a 15 pitch, I would up to a 17 pitch. 13 pitch will put you over 6000. A cupped 15 will bring you down a couple hundred as well.<br /><br />Good Luck

Sorry bones I misread your posting.<br />A 15" cupped should bring you down to 5500rpm A 17" should take you down even a little farther,but close to a 15" cupped.

Bones a 15" prop that's not an OEM will even rev higher than 5700 rpm.

thanks for the info sony already ordered it.my old prop was a 15 cupped worked good. the one i have on know is the orignal for my motor i had it redone as a backup. just replaced lower unit and put this prop on .
