what size shop press for upper bearings/gears?

Hi guys - just wondering what size I need, will a 6 ton work, or 12/20?

I know bigger is better but this is about all ill do with it.

I have a 20 ton from Harbor Freight and mounted it on a set of wheels for storage. Comes in handy for bending metal also, They also come with a set of plates. The only thing I will recommend is a bearing splitter that they have to get under a bearing or a gear .

hi thanks - in law had a 20ton jack and a friend had a press with no jack. All is good - I was just curious as its my first time using one and as usual noone to guide me but the net-
