What the heck is DECARB and do i need to do it?

What is this and do i need to do it to my engine, it runs great but it had been sitting for about 6 years un ran. It starts right up and gets with the program on my boat, but would i gain any performance by "decarbing".<br /><br />Mike

CropdusterPilot<br />It sure won't hurt. It gets rid of deposits of carbon from the pistons, rings, cylinders, Ect. that may otherwise cause sticking rings, detonation and overall poor performance. If you do alot of trolling or low speed running, it is even more important<br /><br /> web page
