I don't think I'm wrong??? I don't know anymore...
It just keeps happening all the time.
I got my CDL revoked after a massive heart attack and other health issues so with my big ol' $1,300/month pension check and all I have is a lot of time for wheelin n dealin in old junk. It's more of a pass-time than anything else.
But I keep running across these idiots (so I think) that figure everything should come with an unconditional unlimited life time guaranty!
example!!!
A couple of years ago I traded a little 14ft tinny with a trailer and late 80's suzuki 9.9 for an old camper trailer (worth $800-$900 at most...)
I told the guy I didn't have a good fuel line to go with it, it's all it needs. The one that was there was attached directly to the tank, no fitting, and sucked in air.
He calls me a few days ago figuring that I should drive to his place, an hour north of here, because his 1960's merc 10hp doesn't run right??? And I owe him this for free because the suzuki was a POS that wouldn't stay running. His friend told him that the fuel line wasn't the problem so he never replaced it and the motor was just a POS so he should get rid of it.
Another one I sold a good running outboard with controls AND installed for much less than most others would charge for just the motor. I was just wanting to clean out the shed so I tossed in a box of miscellaneous parts, some old, some brand new still in the packaging.
He called me to complain that some of the parts were no good and he had to pay several hundred dollars to replace... The freebees!
