what to do for break in

hi all<br />tomorow i will be gettin my brand spankin new honda bf15 to replace my old johnson.<br />i need to know how to break it in without breaking it , and what do i need to do after its broken in , does the oil need changed???<br /><br />also what type of morot oil is best dfor it , as in what weights oil...<br /><br />edit<br /><br /><br />oh and another thing i forgot to ask , i might be gettin a new fishfinder that runs off a 12v battery , how to i hook up the battery to charge it off the engines alternator , do i need a rectifier?

Follow the recommendations for proper break-in and oil type that will be listed in the manual that you will receive with the new motor. If they don't give you one, ask for it. Keep receipts and a log of what you do to have in case a problem arises. Good luck and enjoy the new motor.

Exactly what Quantum says....<br /><br />I would bet that you have to start with a 25-1 or 35-1 gas to oil mix (unless we are talking about a 4-stroke) for the first several hours of use, not going over a certain rpm... Just read and follow.

Yep, read your manual, and follow it to the "T".<br /><br />I guess, "to the "T"" would be american slang. <br /><br />In other words, do what the manual says.
