This is kind of a goofy question, but I need to know. I just mounted my transducer on my trolling motor and was wondering what needs to be done with the cable. I wrapped it arounf the shaft and taped it on top and on the bottom. This was a temporary thing till I could get the scooby on the right thing to do.

You could probably get a few zip ties and strap it on a little more securely. The tape will hold for a while but will look ugly after a few fishing trips.

Rob

I used the zip ties every few inches up the shaft and then ran it through the mount near the hinge and inside the hull with the remainder. BPS or similiar stores have plastic clips that slide around the shaft and hold the cable but the ties have worked great.

I use zip ties on mine as well. All you have to do is make sure that it is oriented so that the cable doesn't get pinched raising and lowering the motor, and that there is room for a full range of motion on the motor!

Best of luck!
CC

Check with the mfg. see if they will give you a few socket pins. Worked for me.
