What to do with this space

I am reupholstering all of the seats in my boat right now, and am also going to remake the wooden seat frame. as the picture shows, there were two storage compartments. i want to utilize that space better when i remake it. my boat is going to be for diving/fishing. my idea was to make just one bigger compartment, and make a custom plexiglass or fiberglass liner and use it like an ice box or something. but i already have a fridge in the galley tho. im not too sure how to best use this space. Any suggestions?

Subwoofers , bigger storage box (you can never have too much storage), or dead hooker storage.

i would not use it for something, you need to access regularly.

extra pdf's, extra anchor line, tool box, extra case of beer.

Haha "beer!" well im not legaly old enough to drink so i wont use it for that, but i do like the idea of 'uncommonly used items.'
