What to Do?

I am ready to put in my stringers on my 77 MFg and the boat hull has changed shape. The new stringers 3/4" ply are cut and I can match to the old ones and they match almost perfectly. But the boat is on the trailer and the OB is still attached to the transom. It appears if the rear bunks that the boat is resting on have caused a flaring of the hull. I have kept the cap on the boat but have removed every thing else down to the hull. Is there any way to support the boat from the sides and bottom and pull the sides in with a ratchet strap? also the does not appear to be any cracking of the paint or gel coat.
Thanks
Glynn

Re: What to Do?

The weight of the outboard is probably what buckled the boat, maybe not but thats my guess. It would be hard to believe leaving that weight on and removing the frame would not be the cause. Can you get us some pics? I would remove the motor and see if that helps. It should make it easier to work the hull back into shape.
