Happy spring all of you boaters!

I removed my bimini last fall to find the fabric pretty grungy with black crust and other dirt. What is the best substance to use to clean/condition this unit. It is a canvas-like material, sort of rubberized on the back. You know the stuff. Thanks, folks.

Soap & water with a good stiff brush. Allow to dry about 90%, then put back on the boat while still a little damp (allows it to stretch). Spray with 303 protectant.

If your Bimi is Sunbrella, wash it with Woolite, rinse good. Let dry and spray with 303 Fabric Protectant. You can do all this off the boat. The top won't shrink. Just make sure if you use 303 it is Fabric Protectant because they make 303 Protectant just for Vinyl and rubber

And definitely do not use liquid Tide laundry detergent - unless you like bleached out blotches...don't ask me how I know...:(
