Hello guys,
I just want some advice on adjusting the reverse lock "bullet". (The part circled in red in the diagram) I need to back it down about 1/4 inch to take up some slack caused by wear. I have backed the lock nut off about 1/4 inch but I cannot get a bite with needle noses or anything else I have tried. This part dosnt have any indentions or grip of any kind. I am not removing the drive to do this so if someone figured it out with out removing the drive, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance!

What you are trying to do is adjust something to make something work that isn't adjustable.
If you need to make that much adjustment all of a sudden, (or even for wear) you really need to fix something and not just half ass the job together with some off the wall adjustment.

The previous owner told me that he tried to adjust it and he thinks he got it even more out of wack. Thats why I was going to take a stab at it. The reverse pawls look good. They even still have paint in the U of the hooks. When shifting in reverse, I see no movement of the hooks at all. I guess the entire reverse lock is wore out and should be replaced.
