what torque to tighten merc1500 mounts

I have a 78 V6 150 Merc that I have to loosen<br />to install a new steering cable. What level do I re-torque the bolts to the transom mount?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Kevlar

20 ft lbs is safe if that don feel right try for 25 ft lbs and dont forget your washers

Hmmm German.... I guess using the ancient Inca method of makumtiteum was the wrong approach....
