On this motor you install a lifting plate with three bolts on the flywheel. Same holes used to remove flywheel. We have fabricated a plate but don't know what thread the flywheel uses. I tried 8mmx1.25 and 8mmx1.00 but neither wanted to tread smoothly. When the dealer loaded the engine their bolts slipped right in. When I called they said 8mmx1.00.

Anybody know the correct thread? Thanks!

I've seen a couple people use 5/16"-24 (fine) but I was told everything is metric.

Call BRP customer service and ask them.

Thanks. They transferred me to Evinrude and answered my question. 5/16-24 and 1 3/4" long with factory lifting eye.

If you're using your home built ring, make sure you use Grade 8 bolts.
