what type of fiberglasss to use

i have a omc stringer 800 the question that i have is, i got the engine stringers in and need to fiberglass over them and dont know what type for fiberglass to use since all the engine weight and twist is on them. im using polyester resin, should use csm then cloth over it or i have knytex tape in 4 inch wide should i just layer that or should i go out and get some thick woven roving? i dont know what to use on that part thanks for the help.

what was there before you ground it off? You will need to replicate the thickness with whatever you are putting down now. I dont think there is a right or wrong. Mainly just be sure its done well and if using poly, always use CSM as a primer and a finish. CSM, cloth,CSM. THe way it was told to me helped...if you had 10oz of material there from the factory then you can use 1 layer of 10oz or 2 layers of 5oz or 10 layers of 1oz. you get the picture.

You always have the choice to overdo it if you like.

Me personally, I am using epoxy and 1708 biax in a few layers to replicate the heavy woven roving that was there stock. All tabbed to the hull with 8.5oz cloth tape.
