What type of ignition system

I have a 93 Johnson 40hp with no spark. Have replaced the coil and still no spark. Now I am going through the trouble shooting tests I was directed to by a reply to my earlier post. I see two types of ignition systems mentioned and need help figuring out which one I have.
One test is for battery CD ignitions with points, the other is for prestolite battery ignitions with pickup sensors.
Which system does this engine use?
Thanks for the help so far, Lee.

Re: What type of ignition system

mostly you have a bad power pack. or ignition switch. unplug the wireing harness at the engine. this isolates the control. then you can ground the motor to the battery - post, and jump from + post to starter larger post. carefull it may start if the ignition was bad. also to stop it you have choke it manually. heres the test: http://www.boatpartstore.com/page32.asp
