I have an 1976 Century 4000 21', I know it to be an OMC outdrive, not certain the year of outdrive, believe it to be a 1976..... has the cone and cotter pin to secure prop...
What lubrication do I use...manual says, "C" type.... I ordered Sierra type c blend, will this work for upper and lower gear cases?

Per chance would anyone know the WOT rpm, and thus the best pitch for prop?

Thank you Gentlemen.

Later................Chad.

Re: What type of Lubrication?

You have an electric shift Stringer drive. Use that type C lube in the lower gear case only. Use GL5 rated 80w90 marine lube in the upper and intermediate gear cases.
