I posted on here that my boat had a 1992 90 hp johnson vro v4 but when i looked, the boat is a 1992 and the motor is a 1990. Could someone please tell me what type of spark plugs my boat takes and which are the best ones to put in it? Also what is the gap for them? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Get your engines model number, this is found on the data plate on the trim/tilt unit. If not there it is on a plug on the top of the motor(mine is on the left cyclinderhead). When buying parts for the engine, always use the parts for that model engine, not the boat year. You can buy a manual for your engine or you can goto the johnson web site and get the info. If you post that model number here, i'll bet ya somebody will tell you what plugs to use.

As long as your 90hp is a cross-flow (trim button on stb. side motor pan), it uses the Champion QL82C plugs gapped to .030" for best results.

Always refer to the factory spark plug chart and not someone's cross-over chart.
