what type of stern drive do I have?

I have a 1970 North American 18 ft. trihull with a mercruiser 165hp inline 6. I can't figure out what type of stern drive I have. It shows that it's a Mercruiser stern drive, H.P. 165 with a serial # 2765477. How do I find out information about this drive? I want to replace the water pump and impeller, but I don't have a clue what to look for by way of parts.

I know that there are Alpha's, Gen II, Bravo's and originals. I am just confused as to what type I may have. Any ideas?

Also check out this thread. It discusses what water pump to use on a MC-1/Alpha. It looks like they are the same. I do know a Bravo impeller will not work on your setup.

Might be the R or MR drive???
Most use the standard Mercruiser imp.
Mercury Impeller 89984T4 Think this might work??
