Hi all,
I remember reporting wonderful and great fightbacks as my brother Erich faught to keep cancerous Malignent Melanoma at bay.
This morning sadly at 02:15 Erich lost his fight and slipped away. The last 6 weeks was very tough for him as the tumour grew to about 15" x 8" by 3" high, the oncologist was overheard to say that she did not know how he had lasted so long. We used adult diapers as dressings as we could not find dressings large enough.
I will miss my older brother incredibly who at the age of 56 had so much more to give. I will also keep wonderful and fond memories of a man I loved deeply and who loved me deeply.
Today made the arrangements .... so final.
Thought I would share this with my extended family.
Cheers
Andrew
PS: I know you will find this hard to believe but here are my last 24 hours. Wife gets a phone call at 18:00 to tell her that her sister has been badly beaten in a robbery. Concust, hole in the head from being pistol whipped, brused face brused throat ... were it not for the farm hand she was a gonner. 8 hours later while she is with her sister getting her treatment I get the phonecall regarding Erich. On the way back from the hospital at 04:30 I notice an overturned vehicle (totally wrecked) on the side of the highway. Something worries me so I get turn around as soon a possible and go investigate. A youngster was in the car + - 23, he wad dead. Called 911 and waited for them to get there then went home.
Think my bad luck for the next 20 years has been used up.
