what year is my 50hp mercury cant find it

I have a 50hp 4cyl merc s# 9310893 cant find this serial number I tried all of the links need the year and what carb kit is need to rebuild the carbs thanks

Hello:

I think it's a 1980-1981.

Does it look like the blue or the brown?

Blue is 1980 - 1983

Brown is 1984 - 1985

its the blue one is there any way to tell exactly im haveing a hard time finding a carb rebuild kit for it

Are you sure of the first digit in your serial #? 50hp from 1976-1985 should have a carb model # BA-3B,BA-3C or BA-3D apparently all use the same gaskets and float. This came from a napa book and those are the only components available, 18-7007 and 18-7209, you should be able to cross reference

That serial comes back to a Belgium engine and it will have either Tillitson or Walbro carbs and will use gasket kit 18-7007 and float is 18-7209 as posted eariler.
