what year is my 70hp merc

I have gone through the links for looking up serial numbers and get conflicting data on which year this is.
Serial# is 7101310 1 site tells me it's a 1977 while another tells me it's a 1970
When I type in the serial# where it asks for it, it tells me serial # not found. Please help a brother out.
It is a Canadian version.

1977. No distributor and coil packs on the side. Thunderbolt ignition
