I have an Evinrude 150 60 degree motor, but I can't find any numbers in any of the places I have been told to look. I thought it was a 93 model, But when I ordered piston rings for it the rings were both the same thickness. My motor has a wider ring at the top of the piston and a narrower one below it. Does that give anyone any help on telling me what year model it is. The block has a number stamped on it- C20 345 and on the exhaust chamber it has 190108 and under that it has230 R1. Any help will be appreciated.

if you cannot find a tag on the transom bracket nor a little freeze plug about the size of a quarter on the top of the block some "pictures" may help............ those casting #s dont go very far since they fit so many different models and years.

get the part number off the powerpack and try googling it, the starter part number too. You should be able to zero in on the yr that way.
