What year is my Force 90?

The only number i caould find was on the side of the mount it is OE006843.
I have been trying to google anything related but cant seem to come up with anything. Is there a website that has the serial numbers and related info?

Hi Larry,

Take a closer look on the block, the serial number should be stamped on the exhaust manifold or the head block. My serial number consists of numbers only. I'm not sure if OE006843 is the right one, however I could be wrong.

If you post a couple of pics of the motor people here will probably nail it within a year or two of accuracy.
Do you have blue/prestolite coils or the dark blue or black (merc years) coils?

Looks like late 80s to mid 90's force.

My guess is 89'-91'....with it being a 91' less likely.
That said, I'm pretty sure the 90hp (which replaced the 85hp) came out on some levels in 1989. It would have had the light blue/prestolite coils. This version continued until I think 1991...maybe 92' at best. At that time, I'm pretty sure they all went over to the Merc Dark blue coils/ignition while retaining a similar outward appearance.
As well...it looks like you are definitely in need of a new prop.
How does it run? Compression ok?

ok..that narrows it down..ill go out now and take a few pics of the engine itself. And yes..lol..it does need a new prop..it seems to run great. starts right up, idles nice..i havent run it too long with just having the clamp on hose attachment. all in all..the boat is an 84. trailer was excellent, interior needs replacing but usable as is..picked it up for 900 so anythign i need to do is fine. Its really just a small boat i bought for my kids to go fishing in somoe small lakes near our recreation property...i have an appointment with the local merc guy to do a total check and test..impellor check or replace if it needs it..so..looking forward to getting some enjoyment..ill post a few mor engine pics

ok here are some engine pics. the following are the numbers i found on the engine

OEoo6843 same as on the outside , It says serial number on the sticker
112098 stamped on the back of the head
2 051 stamped under that
719518 stamped on the upper right of head. see the pic

the sticker with the serial number says

OEoo6843

It's 1991-1994, most likely 1991. Check the Search by Model & Serial Range at Crowley Marine site.

I sent off an email to them to see if they can pinpoint the exact year...Appreciate the help..Yes this boat originally came with a Force 85 i believe..im happy witht he purchase...just need some interior attention and some wiring for switches and we will be good to go. Thank you all who answered!!
