What year is my motor? Evinrude fisherman 6hp 6102E J03388 are the only numbers i found on it stamped into the motor.

can anyone point me to some info as I just bought the motor. It has not been run in 10yrs but had no metal in lower gear unit. had spark, feels like it has compression (need a compression gauge!) looks clean overall.

but I need to know what the fuel mixture is? what year would help!

50:1 is the ratio for your 6hp.

thanks guys! she runs great!

but there is a fuel delivery problem as it will die if i dont continuously pump the fuel primer bulb on the fuel line from the gas tank to the fuel pump.

any ideas? thinking bad carb float? I will take off the fuel line to the carb and see if it pumps fuel.
