yeah i've looked at that site. but i'm not 100% sure ya know. My motor isn't charging so i need to figure out why. i went out tonight and when i got back to the launch my battery was dead. but before i try to figure it out i need to know what year it is to find out if it even has a charging system on it. thanks for the help though. if you have any info plz feel free to help

Motor is 1989, as eepks indicated.

Make sure your motor wiring connections are in good condition, and not loose or corroded. Check the voltage at the battery terminals when the motor is running. If its is not charging, most time you will find it is a bad rectifier.
