what year is my motor thanks

I have a mecury 9.8 110 serial # 4243205 can anyone tell me what year it is and if it has any other options like electric start etc.. one more thing the fuel connector on the motor is simillar to my evinrude fuel line can i use this thanks

Looks like an 1987.
Electric start is rare on small motors.
Some of the fittings interchange, but there are subtle differences.
You can change the fittings at the tank end of the hose so you can swap tanks.

Oops - you are right - she's a 1975. I read the chart wrong - getting tired - my apologies.
To verify, she should have blue stripes and if memory servers a squarish cowl (?). (I had a 1975 7.5).

It is indeed a 1975 model which did not have elec start as an option - but the 1976 model did. Search for electric start components for a 1976 model, serial number range 4304785 - 4605111.

No, unless you have told us the wrong serial number. 1978 serial numbers begin with 4839254. Electric start was an option on that model.

thanks again and yes it does have blue stripes and square cowl, for electric start i was just wondering if they came with one he did not tell me it had one just told me it was a 1978 so it looks like it is not because i gave you the right serial # thanks again everyone for the help
