What year is my motor?

Is an Evinrude 140 horsepower, 4 cylinders, 2 cycle, with a model # 140943R, and Serial # J0004103. can't find out the year. Thanks

you would proberly need a evinrude tech to tell you what year motor you have..thats how I found the year on mine..also have a 115 evinrude for parts,cheap.. the parts interchange with the 140 hp..the parts motor is a 1979...boatmoter//
