What year is my outboard

Hi<br /><br />I have a mercury 75ph outboard. The serial number is 09599491 (Belgium). Can anybody tell what year this engine is or provide some sort of chart where I will be able to identify it<br /><br />Many Thanks<br /><br />dave

if you go to this link then go to modellguide then chose the HP it will show your range of searial number that ties it to the year.<br /><br /> year of boat

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IT'S A MERC 1000, AND THE NUMBER ON THE MANIFOLD IS 8363260H...I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S THE SERIAL OR NOT.
