what year is my rude

I have a 35hp evinrude with model # E35ECIG and serial # E0002031. I am wondering the year of the engine and also what diameter and pitch of prop I should put on it. The present prop has a # on the outside PW6937, it is a three blade and the engine operating range is 500 to 6000 rpm, 35hp @ 5500 rpm.

I thiunk it is an 81 as well but you may have missed the shaft length letter.

It is a 1981
CI are the date letters.
The absence of a shaft length letter indiactes that it is a standard (15") shaft

A post on the "Props questions and topics" board may bring forth some help with the prop selection

If you don't already know this the correct prop dia. should be in the manual (I would guess 10 1/2) but the pitch will depend on the size, shape and weight of the boat.

I have an 1984 35hp long shaft rude on an old 16' alum. semi V hull. 2 batteries, 2, 6 Gal. tanks, raised casting decks, live wells, pumps, electronics etc. It's heavy.

It has a 10 1/2" Dia. x 9" pitch. At WOT it runs 5100 RPM, 32MPH by the GPS. I'm not quite in the power band but MW doesn't make a vortex 7 or 8 pitch, yet.

75393 is 1963.
But why on earth have you hidden the request under someone else's post. You should have started a thread of your own. Its a miracle i saw it at all.
