Hello! Welcome to the forum!!! The first thing i would do is to find out if the motor was a 1968 or a 1969 modle. I like those sea king older motors. Im not a expert at all on them though but i do believe that parts are available on them. Someone will be around soon to help you out that has more experiance than i do on them. I just wanted to welcome you to the iboats forums!!!

offtheshore,
I have a SeaKing Model VWB29906A 96X Serial # 11406. I just started taking it apart today and am looking for info on parts also. Mine was made by Montgomery Ward. It looks to be in excellent condition but the exhaust plate (the aluminum outside piece is corroded through. If you get any information on your motor please pass it along to me.

Thanks,

sea ray, yours is a 1969 (coded in the "96X" where the 96 is 69 reversed). offshore, you didn't include that info in yours.

Yep, 1968. The other question...I'm not smart enough to answer that one.

These are all Chrysler built.
My guess is the parts are very similar 69-72, 73 and after is a different animal.
My 89 after market manual indicates that while it has roller bearings in the piston pin, upper main, and crank pin 24:1 fuel mix is reccomended.
Perhaps one of the Chrysler pros can help confirm fuel mix.
