What year is this 4 HP Mariner?

Hi all

What year is my 4 HP Mariner, Model 3B4, made in Japan, Ser.# 0A888804.

I have looked all over the web but can't find the year of manufacture for service manual & parts (water impeller failed and it overheated, now need to fix

I seem to have seen somewhere that these japanese motors were made by Yamaha and the parts are interchangable & cheaper?
