Good price, as long as you don't have to put tons into it to get it running right. <br /><br />Check compression. Ideally you want to lake test it so see how it runs under load, how it idles, how it shifts, and how it cools. After the lake test, see how the lower unit fluid looks - it shouldn't be 'milky' as that indicates water intrusion. If you can't lake test it, recognize that you're taking a risk & decide if it's worth it. Hopefully you can see it run in the driveway anyway (use flushmuffs - never run the motor without water). The problem is lots of really sick motors will sound good in the driveway. Check the lower unit fluid even if you can't make it to lake.
