I am looking at a motor that is selling on ebay but is only a few miles away from me, It looks like a match for one I already have I am wondering what year it is...<br />The model number is: 35029L, and the serial# is 01983<br />thanks guys

Good luck. Those Big Twins are excellent outboards, despite their age. You'll find lots of resources here on iboats.com to help you get it back in service.<br /><br />Do ask the seller about the boat wiring harness, though. Very hard to find, those are.

Also, note that this is a short shaft outboard, suitable for 15" transoms. You can convert these, but parts have to be hunted down.
